Card Picnic

Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-10-03

These are the rules for using Card Picnic, which is run by Idappaccayatā, LLC. By creating an account you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

Your account

You need an invite to join and must be at least 13. You sign in through your email, so keep that account secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what a connected Anki add-on publishes.

Your cards stay yours

You keep whatever rights you have in the cards you share. By sharing a card you give Card Picnic permission to store it, display it publicly, and include it in emails to members, and you give other members permission to copy it into their own Anki for personal study. That permission ends for the site when you remove the card, though copies members already made stay with them.

What you can share

Only share cards you have the right to share. By sharing a card you promise that you made it, or that you have permission to share everything in it, including text, images and audio taken from books, courses, slides or other people's decks. Don't share:

The same goes for comments, notes and your profile.

If someone makes a claim against Idappaccayatā, LLC because of something you shared, such as a claim that it infringes their copyright, you agree to cover the resulting costs.

Removing content and accounts

We may remove any content, or suspend or close any account, if we think it breaks these terms or puts the site or its members at risk. You can report a card with the Report link beside it.

Copyright complaints

If you believe a card infringes your copyright, email hello@idappaccayata.com with: the card's address, what work it copies, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or act for them. We'll remove infringing material and may close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

Invites

Joining takes an invite link from Card Picnic. An invite is for the person it was sent to. Don't sell it, pass it on or post it publicly. We can cancel unused invites.

Not part of Anki

Card Picnic is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anki or its developers.

No warranty

Card Picnic is provided as is. We don't promise it will always be available, that cards are accurate, or that content won't be lost. Keep your own copies of anything that matters; your cards live in your Anki. Cards are written by members, and studying from them is at your own judgment.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Idappaccayatā, LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Card Picnic, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, which for a free service is nothing.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so on the site before it takes effect. Using Card Picnic after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA. Questions: hello@idappaccayata.com.
